This Privacy Policy explains how AI Buddy ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our website and apps. We designed AI Buddy for children, so protecting young users is central to how we work.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as name, email and the student's year group, provided by a parent, guardian or school.
  • Learning activity such as lessons attempted, practice results and progress, used to personalise teaching.
  • Lesson input such as questions asked and work written on the whiteboard, processed to teach and give feedback.
  • Technical data such as device type and app performance, used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use information

We use personal data to provide and personalise tutoring, track progress, keep the service safe and secure, respond to enquiries, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

Children and parental consent

Accounts for children require verifiable parental or school consent. Accounts are private by default. Parents and schools can review activity, request access to their child's data, and request deletion at any time.

Sharing and processors

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run AI Buddy (for example, cloud hosting and the AI and video services that power live lessons), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions.

Data retention and your rights

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal duties, then delete or anonymise it. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage strong passwords and adult supervision of children's accounts.
